According to reports, members of the Southern Secessionist Movement gathered across southern territories of the country to commemorate their bid for independence and freedom as well as to renew their loyalty to the movement. The members gathered to commemorate the 19th anniversary of 1994 southern uprising against central government as well. The leaders of the movement have called once again for secession, shunning away from President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi's attempt to retain Yemen's unity through federalism. 1
