V.K. Saraswat, Scientific Advisor to Defence Minister and DRDO Chief stated that India was developing a sub-sonic cruise missile, the ‘Nirbhay’ with a range of 1000 km. Dr. Sarawat noted that the missile can be put to use for a "variety of applications."1
