The Pakistani Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources announced on March 19 the discovery of 2881 barrels per day of oil and 45.8 mmcfd of gas in the Tal Block located in the North West Frontier Province. The block was being operated by a joint venture consisting of a foreign operator, OGDCL, PPL, POL and GHPL and was the third discovery made by the consortium in this block, which will be further tested for economic feasibility, production rate and scale1.
