External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee warned that India may face global isolation if it did not go ahead with the Indo-US nuclear deal. He added that India and the IAEA were still to find a common ground on the safeguards agreement1.
The US Ambassador to India David Mulford on his part stated that the deal had reached a point of “now or never.” He however asserted that the failure of the nuclear deal would not affect Indo-US ties2.
