  • South Korean Foreign Minister Kim Sung-hwan has said that he remains cautious while stating that improving Seoul-Tokyo relations after the recent deterioration in relations over the Dokdo/Takshima territorial dispute will be a major challenge for the South Korean government. While insisting on the necessity of developing a future oriented relationship with Japan, he also talked about protecting South Korean territorial integrity and urged Japan to look squarely at its history. 1
