Iraq’s Independent High Electoral Commission stated that it will soon decide whether to ban 15 political parties from contesting the March 2010 general elections. The Commission was yet to receive the final report of the Accountability and Justice Committee regarding these 15 political parties allegedly having supporters of the former Saddam Hussein regime.1
