    According to reports, President Putin has said that Russia’s exports of defence-related products in 2012 will reach a record-breaking figure of 14 billion U.S. dollars. 1

    Shinzo Abe, the leader of Japan’s new ruling party, has expressed a desire to settle disputed Kuril Islands issue with Russia2 .
