ICC charges former leader with crimes against humanity; Cote d’Ivoire and Guinea discuss reconciliation efforts

    Reports noted that Côte d'Ivoire's former leader Laurent Gbagbo was charged with four counts of crimes against humanity by the International Criminal Court (ICC), for acts allegedly committed after a disputed presidential run-off election between the former president and his challenger Alassane Ouattara which descended the country back into civil war.1

    In another development, Ivory Coast President Alassane Ouattara arrived in Conakry to discuss reconciliation efforts with his Guinean counterpart Alpha Conde in their troubled countries."2
