At least 31 Communist Party of India (CPI-Maoist) cadres surrendered before the Superintendent of Police, Akun Sabharwal, in the Visakhapatnam district in Andhra Pradesh on November 17. According to Sabharwal, among the 31 cadres, six were in the rank of commanders, three deputy commanders and the rest members1.
