South Korea criticizes Japan’s preparation to unilaterally take the Dokdo/Takeshima dispute to ICJ

According to reports, Seoul has strongly criticized Japan’s reported preparation to take unilaterally the Dokdo/Takeshima Dispute to the ICJ. The South Korean Foreign Ministry, while reiterating the South’ sovereignty over those islands, insist that such a step by Japan would not have a damaging impact on the bilateral relationship. Seoul also demanded Tokyo to withdraw such ‘unjust claim’. 1
