    According to reports, Beijing has announced that it will work towards strengthening international cooperation on cyber issues. 1

    In another development, agricultural ministries of China and Nepal have finalized a five-point agreement during the third bilateral Nepal-China Agricultural Assistance meeting held in Kathmandu. 2

    China has inaugurated a Mission to ASEAN in Jakarta. This is in order to help improve relations between China and ASEAN. 3

    Beijing has asserted that China and France should develop a comprehensive strategic partnership with respect to urbanization, sanitation and high-tech development. 4

    On the domestic front, the Standing Committee of the Congqing Municipal People’s Congress has decided to remove Bo Xilai from his post as deputy to 11th National People’s Congress. 5

    Hillary Clinton called for better China-US relationship and also offered “best wishes” to Chinese people on the 63rd anniversary of founding of People’s Republic of China. 6

    Beijing’s first aricraft carrier, the Liaoning with a hull number of 16, entered service in the People’s Liberation Army Navy on September 25. 7

    In other developments, Beijing has further reiterated its opposition to sanctions on Iran over its nuclear programme. 8

    Pakistani Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf met Chinese senior military officer Ma Xiaotian in Islamabad on September 25 and both sides agreed to further advance bilateral pragmatic cooperation. 9

    The Chinese government has issued a white paper on Diaoyu Dao, asserting Chinese indisputable sovereignty over the islands. 10
