Associate Fellow, Manohar Parrikar IDSA, Dr Swasti Rao spoke on ‘Evolving trade and Investment Ties with Europe’ at the Monday Morning Meeting on 15 April 2024. The session was moderated by Research Analyst, Ms Anandita Bhada.

The discussion was followed by a lively Q&A session.

Vice Adm Raman Puri, PVSM, AVSM, VSM (Retd), spoke on ‘Essence of Atmanirbharta in Defence’ at the Monday Morning Meeting on 08 April 2024. The session was chaired by Director General, Manohar Parrikar IDSA, Amb Sujan R. Chinoy. The talk was followed by a lively Q & A session.

Manohar Parrikar IDSA organised a one-day training for Defence Attaches on 05 April 2024. Director General, MP-IDSA, Amb Sujan R. Chinoy delivered a lecture on ‘Towards Reformed Multilateralism and Defence Diplomacy as a Tool to Enhance India's Image as a Global Power’. The lecture was followed by exchange of mementos and a group photograph.

MP-IDSA organised a bilateral dialogue with five-member delegation from the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS), Shanghai, headed by President SIIS, Prof Chen Dongxiao on 01 April 2024, to discuss ways to rebuild trust between the two countries. Views on global and regional strategic issues were also exchanged.

Director General, Manohar Parrikar IDSA Amb Sujan R. Chinoy delivered the inaugural remarks and gave an overview of bilateral ties and stressed the importance of rebuilding trust between India and China.

Research Analyst, Manohar Parrikar IDSA, Mr Abhishek Verma spoke on ‘Khalistan Movement Overseas: A Case Study of Canada’ at the Monday Morning Meeting on 01 April 2024.

Research Fellow, Mr Shantanu Sinha chaired the session. Director General, Amb Sujan R. Chinoy, Deputy Director General, Gp Capt (Dr) Ajey Lele (Retd) and MP-IDSA scholars enriched the discussion.

Research Fellow, Manohar Parrikar IDSA, Mr OP Das presented the Paper ‘A Study of the Political Economic Framework of ASEAN Media and India's Media Representation’ at the Fellows Seminar on 15 March 2024.

Director General, Amb Sujan R. Chinoy chaired the Seminar and conducted the proceedings. The External Discussants for the Paper were Mr Shashi Shekhar Vempati, former CEO of Prasar Bharati and Professor Reena Marwah, Jesus and Mary College, Delhi University.

The Internal Discussants included Research Fellow, Dr Adil Rasheed and Associate Fellow, Ms. Shruti Pandalai.

A delegation from Secretariat of Defence Products (SEPROD) Brazil, headed by Air Vice Marshal (Retd) Rui Chagas Mesquita, visited Manohar Parrikar IDSA on 13 March 2024, to discuss bilateral defence cooperation. Director General Manohar Parrikar IDSA chaired the discussion which was enriched by MP-IDSA scholars.

Parrikar IDSA organised a virtual Bilateral Dialogue with the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA), South Africa on 13 March 2024. Director General MP-IDSA Amb Sujan R. Chinoy delivered the Welcome Address along with Chief Executive SAIIA Ms Elizabeth Sidiropoulos. Former High Commissioner to South Africa, Amb Ruchi Ghanashyam, Mr Steven Gruzd and Rear Admiral Monty Khanna chaired the event.

Research Analyst, Manohar Parrikar IDSA, Mr Rohit Kumar Sharma spoke on ‘Bridging Gaps in Cybersecurity with Cyber Insurance’ at the Monday Morning Meeting on 11 March 2024.

Research Fellow, Lt Col Akshat Upadhyaymoderated the meeting that included insightful discussion from MP-IDSA scholars.
