Background

An alumnus of Indian Military Academy (IMA) Dehradun, Lt. Col. Prasad was commissioned into the Corps of EME (Indian Army) in 1988. The officer has a wide range of experience in maintenance of Army Equipment and has commanded a Mountain Brigade Workshop in J&K and a Maintenance Flight in Punjab. He has held Grade II and Grade I General Staff appointments at the Military College of EME, Secunderabad. He has also served as Second in Command of an Infantry Company at Vavuniya and Tricomalee Districts of Sri Lanka as part of IPKF. Before joining IDSA he was Joint Director (Quality Assurance) at the Directorate of Quality Assurance (Engineering Equipment).
